Staff Week 2013 is off to a great start! While many of our head staff have already been here for more than a week, the majority of the staff arrived on Monday and Tuesday. We have many staff returning for their second, third, fourth and more summers on staff, new staff coming to camp for the very first time (such as our Israeli and International staff), and junior counselors who are back at camp for the first time since they were Nivonim campers in 2011.

The weather has been warm and sunny all week–perfect for ice-breaker games on the kikar, trust-building exercises all around camp, and simply hanging out with old friends and making new ones. We’re all busy getting camp ready for the big day next Tuesday and we can’t wait to see the campers!

Steven Sacks (Shira/Songleading JC): I’m really excited to be here. I’ve been waiting all my camp career to be on staff and to see camp from a whole different viewpoint. Now I’m here and I’m really excited. I’m ecstatic!

Jackie Rubinoff (Archery JC): Staff week has been great so far. I’ve met so many interesting new people and I’m excited to spend my summer with them.

Leora Balinsky (Jewish Studies Teacher): I’m very excited to be here. It’s really interesting to be here as a staff member.

Rachael Gotlieb (Solelim JC): After not being at camp for two years it feels like I’ve come home.

Ella Dor On (Hebrew Teacher): I’m from Israel and this is my first time in camp. Right now I’m still overwhelmed, but this place is gorgeous. I know that I’m going to have a lot of fun and make a lot of new friends.

Daniella Davidian (Hebrew Teacher): This is also my first time at camp. This is an amazing place and I am so happy that I am here. I look forward to welcoming the campers on Tuesday!
